GLEX 2020 - 500 Years Magellan

On October 21st, the Ciência Viva Pavilion in Lisbon held GLEX´s special edition in live streaming mode to commemorate the 500 years of the crossing of the Strait of Magellan-Elcano, representing a new era in discovery and scientific knowledge for humanity.At this event, the Explorers Club presented four leaders who are changing the course of history with innovative exploration routes to benefit humanity and unite the world. Bertrand Piccard addressed the topic of circumnavigations, Beverly Goodman developed the topic of the Oceans and Tsunamis while Cristian Donoso spoke about climate change. As expected, JamesGarvin, Chief Scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, presented a very interesting topic, space exploration.And the celebrations continue in 2021 with a celebration worthy of what was the Magellanic feat in human history.
